Meet the Staff: Ousmane Fomba

Ousmane joined the CARE Mali team in June 2016. He is the Marketing and Communications Advisor, and is responsible for communication support on the Pathways project as well as adaptation of female farmer’s products to market requirements.

He received a Master’s degree in Enterprise Management from the Faculty of Legal and Economic Sciences, University of Bamako. Ousmane has also managed a woman’s cooperative, consulted for several international NGOs, and was a promoter for a capacity building organization prior to joining CARE.

Ousmane is very interested in the FFBS model in particular because it integrates agriculture, nutrition, marketing, and gender into one program. He looks forward to connecting Pathways to the private sector for maximum impact, and is excited to support smallholder female farmers in accessing the market through quality products.
